How it fits in VauPrime

Stock Adjustment is for controlled corrections when the physical position and system position need to be reconciled. VauPrime validates the adjustment and records it through the centralized stock transaction service instead of silently overwriting a number.

FAQ

Stock Adjustment questions

A few quick answers based on the implemented VauPrime inventory workflow.

Can an adjustment reduce stock below zero?

The current adjustment workflow checks a decrease against available stock and blocks the save when the requested quantity exceeds current stock.

Does a stock adjustment keep a reference?

Yes. The form includes an Adjustment Number and Notes, which are composed into the adjustment transaction notes when saved.

Is an adjustment just a direct edit of the product balance?

The implemented workflow saves through CentralizedStockService as a stock adjustment transaction using a positive or negative quantity.
